Men’s T-shirt honoring the fearless pilots of Ukraine’s 40th Tactical Aviation Brigade, who were among the first defenders of Ukrainian skies on February 24, 2022. From the earliest moments, these fighter pilots from Vasylkiv bravely took down dozens of Russian aircraft over Kyiv, notably an IL-76 transport plane aiming to drop airborne forces near the capital. They secured at least 20 confirmed kills in under three weeks of combat. Recognized for extraordinary bravery during Ukraine’s darkest hours, the brigade was awarded for “Courage and Valor,” later earning the honorary title “Ghost of Kyiv.”
On the front, a dynamic graphic of F-16 fighters flying in tight formation accompanies a blue-and-yellow roundel inscribed “FLY TO LIVE | LIVE TO FLY.” On the back, a symbolic trident-bird design paired with the Latin phrase “Alta Alatis Patent” [“The sky belongs to those who have wings”].
