Watch how the icebreaker confidently cuts its path through icy horizons. Nothing can stop it. But it wasn’t only its determination that inspired us to create this men’s printed T-shirt.
Ukraine has its own flagship of the scientific fleet — the icebreaker Noosphere.
In 2021, it was acquired from the UK to support the operations of the Antarctic research station Akademik Vernadsky, returning Ukraine to the map of major polar research in the Southern Ocean. Nearly 100 meters long, the vessel can operate among ice for up to two months, transport scientists, and conduct deep-sea research at depths of up to 8 kilometers. Beyond its Antarctic missions, the icebreaker opens Ukraine’s path to the Arctic and other regions of the World Ocean.
The name Noosphere represents the interaction between humanity and nature.
Unfortunately, due to Russia’s full-scale invasion, the icebreaker is currently unable to return home to the port of Odesa.
