AH_b6fc04dc-870e-11ef-9bca-00155dcd4802HUNTER says the story behind his helmet began with a simple patch of a Cossack image that happened to catch his eye. He liked the look with the moustache and oseledets so much that the 12th Brigade pilot decided to make his own helmet in a similar style. He decided to paint only on the protective mask, which seems to be designed to look like a Cossack moustache, and picked a few spots on the helmet for the same patch and national symbols. He borrowed the idea of decorating the helmet with themed patches from American pilots, where it has long been one of the established traditions.
AH_fea49f00-c1f5-11eb-a236-0cc47a40fa97We created a little collection of clothes named UA Navy. We started with a T-shirt dedicated to the flagship of our naval forces – the frigate “Sahaidachnyi”. This ship went through a lot of things; it broke away from the occupied Crimea in 2014 together with the entire crew without breaking the oath. Afterward, Odesa became its homeport. The ship still performs combat missions. For sure, it has been participating in the Sea Breeze exercise for many years. This men’s T-shirt turned out to be reserved; it has a large print with a picture of the flagship and the inscription “Sahaidachnyi” on the chest. On one sleeve, there is an imprinted symbolic logo of the Sea Breeze exercise created by us; on the other one, there is a flag of Ukraine. Over 75 years ago, Yuriy Starosolsky laid out the fundamental ideas of Plast in his book "The Great Game." The cover, featuring an eagle, was illustrated by Robert Lisovsky, who also designed the Lufthansa logo and the Plast lily emblem.
On the back, we've placed a stylized eagle with a lily, standing firmly on a rock with the Plast greeting SKOB, which stands for "Strongly! Beautifully! Carefully! Swiftly!" The front features an embroidered quote "And strength was born in hearts" from the song "By the Campfire" by the same Yuriy Starosolsky. This beast will easily leave tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, drones, enemy aircraft, helicopters and a bunch of other enemy hardware in the dust when other air defence systems are impotent. It is this system that is most effective against the russian hypersonic Kinzhal missile, which has been proven more than once by hundreds of lives saved. The development of the Patriot system began in the early 1960s, but it was only in 1982 that the US Army was able to take it into service. The system can simultaneously track 50 targets and hit five of them. Its missiles can reach more than two kilometres upwards and up to 160 kilometres off into the distance. The front of the T-shirt has a drawing of a missile and the large inscription with the name of the SAM, while the back has a decorative trident made of missiles.
