One of the station’s most important rules is non-interference in local wildlife, which sometimes leads to surreal sights! Imagine Subantarctic penguins grabbing a surfboard and strolling past the station on their way to the beach, ready to relax under palm trees while admiring the magnificent Ukrainian icebreaker "Noosphere".
