On the chest is a bold depiction of an Iroquois tribal headdress, symbolizing the tribe whose leader, according to legend, was Ukrainian pilot Ivan Datsenko. The back features a subtle tone-on-tone print of the Il-4 aircraft he flew. The sleeve proudly displays Ukrainian and Canadian flags, a reminder of our shared history. The back also includes the outline of an indigenous bird totem and the Ukrainian trident. Just below, you'll find the pilot’s two names: his original Ukrainian name, Ivan Datsenko, and his adopted name—CHIEF POKING FIRE.
AH_c48d142e-4978-11ed-9ba8-ac1f6b742a2bIf we delve into the history of symbols that were inherent in aviation at different times, one of those symbols is the ace. Aces have adorned airplanes and pilot uniforms for more than 100 years. This is because the actual word "Ace" meaning "master of air combat" comes from the word "ace" (French as, English ace). It came from the cards meaning the highest card in the deck. We decided to use this ancient tradition in the design of this women's t-shirt. On the front is a large print with the ace of spades, where the spades are styled as wings, and in the center is a skull in a flight helmet, a kind of allusion to the death that our pilots bring to the enemy. Below it is the inscription UA Sky Aces. On the sleeves, there is a roundel with the inscription Ukrainian Air Forces and a spade with an airplane in the middle, and the inscription AC "Center" (that is, "Air Command"). Our label is at the side seam and our logo is printed on the back as usual.
