NEW UAF — a collection about the new Ukrainian aviation. About the Air Force, which is changing every moment: learning, adapting, renewing, reforming, acting. This crazy journey of transformation began in the very first seconds of the invasion on February 24, 2022. When daily challenges threatened not only the ability of our aviation to operate, but its very existence, it not only preserved its combat capability, but also multiplied it and made a quantum leap in its development.

First, our aviators did the impossible when they took the fight to the enemy, armed only with old Soviet equipment and a minimum of ammunition. Later, they did the impossible by adapting modern weapons to old aircraft and mastering Western aircraft in record time. Now they are doing the impossible by teaching Western partners how to use their own weapons effectively. From following NATO standards, Ukrainians have come to the point where, through their daily work, they are creating those very standards themselves.

Yet no matter how important weapons and equipment may be, the decisive factor will always be those at the controls, at the launch system, or in the command post. It is our people who give any piece of equipment its significance and turn pieces of metal into heroes, because equipment acquires its true value only when it is used by those who know what they are fighting for.

The process of transforming Ukrainian aviation is still ongoing. It requires endurance, knowledge, and daily work. The Ukrainian Air Force has already proven that it is capable of those endless miracles, because this is their sky, and no one but them will rule it here.
